Took the camera out and decided to to attempt some indoor flower shots. I was using a Pentax M50 f/1.4 lens on a Pentax K-x DSLR.

First attempt at this and I think they came out great.




The Lily has been photo shopped a little bit but still very affective.

I am hoping to take some sporting photo's but it's hard when you need permission from the sporting clubs or players themselves.

A new day

This shall be interesting, I only stumbled across this new way to put some of my life out into the world. I have recently decided to attempt to become a better photographer and capture images of anything that attracts my attention.

I recently attended a photo shoot that was assembled by a forum that I also stumbled upon whilst trolling the web looking for my inspirational journey into photography. The Australian Photography Forum and especially one member going by the name of Shaddsi, organised and hosted a great day out. Inspiration, yes, informative ,yes, and a great venture into outdoor model photography.

I have included the photo above from the day and think back to about one week prior to attending the photo shoot. My ability to take a good photo was point and shoot in program mode and now I believe I can take that great photo.
